Ash are a Northern Irish rock band formed in Downpatrick, County Down in 1989 by vocalist and guitarist Tim Wheeler, bassist Mark Hamilton and drummer Rick McMurray. As a three-piece, they released mini-album Trailer in 1994 and full-length album 1977 in 1996. This 1996 release was named by NME as one of the 500 greatest albums of all time. After the success of their full debut the band recruited Charlotte Hatherley as a guitarist and vocalist, releasing their second record Nu-Clear Sounds in 1998. After narrowly avoiding bankruptcy, the band released Free All Angels in 2001 and a string of successful singles.
Xylø (stylised in all caps) is the alias of American singer-songwriter Paige Duddy. From 2015 to 2018, Xylø was a musical duo that consisted of Duddy and her brother Chase. Since 2018, Duddy has embarked on a solo career and has continued to release her new music under the Xylø moniker.

They released their debut album, Swan Songs, on September 2, 2008, and their live CD/DVD Desperate Measures, on November 10, 2009. Their second studio album, American Tragedy, was released April 5, 2011. All of the band members use pseudonyms and wear their own unique mask, most of which are based on the common hockey goaltender design. The band members currently consist of Charlie Scene, Danny, Funny Man, J-Dog, and Johnny 3 Tears.

The fashion she makes – like her music – borrows a lot from the past, consisting of flamboyantly tailored suits in vibrant colours and endless modifications, each usually custom made for a local musician or artist. It’s that melding of the past with the present that has made her clothing line so popular and that may well seep into her recording success.
